ASPIRE
What We Are All About
ASPIRE stands for Access to Students assistance Programs In Reach of Everyone. The Aspire Program is open to all students in high school. We want to help students succeed in their post-educational plans. Whether those plans are to go on to a two– or four-year College, a University, Vocational school, Technical school, or an Apprenticeship program, ASPIRE wants to give students the information and tools that they will need to help them succeed. ASPIRE offers one-on-one mentoring with a trained volunteer from our community. The trained volunteer will work with a student to help them accomplish many things. Volunteers can help students with deciding on a career that interests them, a college that will best fit their needs, and financial aid information to help pay for those plans. If a student doesn’t know what they want to do after high school, their ASPIRE advisor can help them search for some ideas. They can also offer help in filling out applications, proofreading scholarship essays, and helping search for information on careers and schools. This is a great program that is working hard to help students succeed in obtaining higher education. The ASPIRE Program strives to break the barriers that keep students from going on to post-secondary education. Come and see us in the newly expanded Career Center to find out how you can become a part of this great program! ASPIRE Goals
